Kickoff Dinner for Capital Campaign

The Messiah of the Mountains Capital Campaign Kickoff Dinner was held at the beautiful and historic Young Estate in West Burnsville on June 16, 2018.

Church members drove up the scenic road to the estate and were greeted by other members and friends in a festive room with tables of appetizers, drinks, and chafing dishes laden with the evening's dinner.  Soft music played in the background.                   12345

After everyone participated in joyful conversation, Pastor Phil Tonnesen said grace and the meal was presented.  After the meal, a presentation was given by Pastor Ken Tonnesen, as he encouraged members not "to give until it hurts," but rather to "give until it feels good".  A second presentation was given by member Barry Kelly, as he brought everyone's attention to the proposed plans and drawing of the new Sanctuary.

The members of Messiah of the Mountains Lutheran Church are preparing their hearts for a new church building on the property they own on Highway 19 East in Micaville, NC.  Construction of a 2600 square foot Sanctuary is planned to begin late 2018.  Early September the existing kitchen renovation and expansion was started and should be completed by mid October, 2018

Messiah of the Mountains Lutheran Church is largely known for their annual Oktoberfest and their generous outreach within the community, especially with the Reconciliation House.

Please consider assisting us with our new Sanctuary Building Construction.  We could use your donations no matter how small.  The rising construction and materials cost have made it imperative for us to achieve our goal as quickly as possible, as every day matters with the huge rise in costs of all building materials almost on a daily basis.

If you can afford to make a donation, we would appreciate it very much!

To donate, please contact us via our Contact page and we will be happy to provide you with the information to send us your donation or simply make a check or money order payable to our church and mail it to our posted address on the Contact page.
